Welcome!

Every month, we have an in-person general meeting on the second Wednesday and a virtual general meeting on the fourth Wednesday.

If you are curious about quilting or our guild, we encourage you to stop by! Visitors are welcome to any general meeting. You can contact us, or any SoCo guild member you know, to get information for accessing the virtual meeting.

Besides our meetings, Southern Comforters hosts many exciting quilting and quilt-themed events throughout the year.

Our flagship event is Quilt Bingo in the spring, where players can win we some our quilters’ best works. And we hold our Challenge Quilt Showcase & Homemade Boutique in the fall. We also have raffle baskets, a bake sale, raffle tickets for our annual centerpiece quilt, and more at these public events.

Southern Comforters offers semi-public sewing events, including an open sewing Bee to semi-annual quilt retreats in the spring and fall. And within the guild, we run a Block of the Month, round robin quilt circles, workshops, and other group activities.

Every year, we raffle a truly special quilt. The 2026 raffle quilt showcases incredible applique details of the plants and animals found around the wetlands of the Chesapeake Bay. This is a quilt that you have to see to believe.
